Dr. Hossein Ghaheri, the head of the Iran-China Strategic Studies Institute, and Dr. Shoaib Behman, the president of the Institute of Contemporary World Studies, signed a memorandum of understanding on December 15, 2023.
One of the objectives of this memorandum was to collaborate and leverage the capacities of the Iran-China Institute to provide expert advice and assistance in implementing the goals, missions, and policies of the Institute of Contemporary World Studies in line with scientific cooperation agreements with universities and research institutes in China.
The memorandum of understanding also includes the following goals:
- Identifying counterpart entities from Chinese universities and research institutes with the Institute of Contemporary World Studies
- Providing a platform for cooperation agreements between Chinese academic and research institutions and the Institute of Contemporary World Studies
- Providing expert advice and facilitation in identifying and signing research contracts between Chinese academic and research institutions and the Institute of Contemporary World Studies
- Scientific cooperation with the Iran-China Institute in identified scientific fields
- Announcing scientific needs for cooperation with universities and research institutes in China
- Conducting scientific projects in line with their own needs
- Holding joint meetings, training courses, or scientific conferences
Hopefully, this event will pave a new way for the growth and development of research platforms in our country, Iran.
